Who we are
PraiseReel is an independent service. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean the people who run PraiseReel, reachable at support@praisereel.com, and "you" means the person or business using the service.
The way to reach us is support@praisereel.com or the contact form. If a review of yours has ended up in someone's post, there is a page for that: is that your review?
Using the service means you accept these terms. If you do not, please do not use it.
What the service is
You paste in a customer review your business has received. PraiseReel lays it out with your business name, logo and colour and renders it as a short video or a still image you can post on Instagram or anywhere else.
We never change the review's own words. You can. The post shows them exactly as they stand when you press Create: as you pasted them, or as you edited them yourself, and that makes you responsible for them (see Acceptable use). AI is used for the surrounding text only: the small line above the quote, the closing line, the caption and hashtags, and a suggested reply to the reviewer. You can edit all of it before anything is rendered, and you are responsible for what you publish.
The AI also picks which sentence of a long review to feature, and can translate a non-English quote into an English subtitle. It picks from your review; it does not write a new one.
Your account
You sign in with Whop. We never see or hold a password for you: Whop tells us who you are and whether you have paid, and that is the whole of it.
- You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and be using the service for a real business.
- Everything done through your account is treated as done by you. Keep your Whop sign-in to yourself.
- Every business you set up belongs to the account that made it. Other customers cannot see or open it.
- You can take a copy of everything, or delete the lot, from your account page, at any time and without asking us.
Free and Pro
There is one paid plan and one free tier. This is exactly what each one gives you:
- Free
- 3 posts in total per account (not per month, and not per business). Four of the sixteen looks, the two basic animations, two of the type pairings, 9:16 reels and 4:5 photos. Every post carries a small "made with PraiseReel" mark. No caption or hashtags, no suggested reply, no English subtitle, no download-all zip, and the main-page presets apply their look but not their colour.
- Pro
- $29.99 USD every 30 days. Unlimited posts, all sixteen looks and all sixteen animations, every type pairing, 9:16 + 4:5 + 1:1, no mark, caption and hashtags, a suggested reply, the English subtitle and the download-all zip.
- Both
- The tool never rewrites the review text by itself, and it puts only one name (the first word of the name you give) on a post.
A plan belongs to your account, not to a single business: buying Pro unlocks every business you have. A post you made on Pro stays yours to read and download exactly as it is, even if the plan later ends — only new posts and re-renders follow the plan of the day they run.
Paying and cancelling
Whop takes the payment, not us. Your card details go to Whop and never reach this site; we could not store them if we wanted to. Whop's own terms apply to the payment itself.
- Renewal. Pro renews automatically every 30 days at $29.99 USD until you cancel. Prices are in US dollars; your bank may add a conversion fee, and tax may be added depending on where you are.
- Cancelling. You cancel on Whop, from the same account you bought it with. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the period you have paid for runs out.
- Deleting your account here does not cancel your subscription on Whop. Do both.
- Refunds. Payments are not refunded, including for a period you have only partly used. You can cancel at any time, and Pro stays on until the end of the period you have paid for. Try the free version first: it exists so that you know what you are buying. None of this takes away a right the law where you live gives you as a consumer and that cannot be signed away.
- Price changes. If the price changes we will tell you before it applies to you, and you can cancel instead.
Acceptable use
Most of this comes down to one rule: only put in reviews that are real and that you have the right to use.
You must not
- Invent a review, or pay for one, or use a review a business did not receive.
- Change what a reviewer actually said so that it means something else. You may shorten a long review to the sentence you want to feature — the sentence must still be theirs.
- Use someone else's review, or a review of a business that is not yours.
- Upload a photo of a reviewer, or their surname, address, phone number or anything else about them. The app is built to show a first name and nothing more; do not type the rest into it by hand.
- Put in anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, or that infringes someone's rights.
- Try to get past the plan limits, the sign-in, or the limits on how much you can render — or resell access to the service.
- Use automated means to hammer the service, or to scrape it.
What we may do about it
If we have good reason to think a post breaks these rules — for example because the reviewer tells us so through the takedown form — we may remove the post, and in serious or repeated cases suspend or close the account. We will tell you why.
The people in the reviews
A review has an author, and that author is not you. You confirm that you have the right to use each review you put in, including the reviewer's first name beside it.
A post shows the review text as you entered it, a star rating and one name: the tool keeps only the first word of a name and has no place for a photograph or any other detail about the reviewer. You can edit the text, the name and the stars before you make the post. Those edits are yours: keep to the rules under Acceptable use, do not change what the customer meant and do not raise their rating.
Reviewers can ask us directly, through the takedown page, to look at a post made from their words. We may remove the copy kept on our service and we will pass the request on to you. What you have downloaded and published is yours alone: you are responsible for every post you publish, for having the right to use the review, and for answering the reviewer. We cannot remove or change anything you have published elsewhere, and you agree to take a post down yourself when a reviewer's request is fair.
Who owns what
Yours
Your business name, your logo, your colour, the reviews you put in and the posts that come out are yours. Publish them wherever you like, for as long as you like, including after you stop paying us. We claim no ownership of them and we do not use your posts to advertise the service unless you tell us in writing that we may.
You give us permission to store, process and render your content for the one purpose of running the service for you. That permission ends when you delete the content.
Ours
The software, the sixteen looks, the animations, the typography, the templates, this site's design and the name PraiseReel are ours. Using the service does not transfer any of that to you, and you may not copy, decompile or rebuild it.
The fonts the app renders with are licensed under the SIL Open Font License; the videos used as backgrounds are licensed for this use. Neither is yours to extract and resell, but a post that uses them is.
The free mark
Every post made on the free tier carries a small "made with PraiseReel" mark, drawn into the file itself. That is the deal for the free tier, and asking the server not to draw it does not work — it is added when the file is written, not when the page asks.
Please do not crop, blur or paint over it. Pro removes it properly, for every post you make from then on.
What we do not promise
The service is provided as it is. In plain words:
- It will sometimes be down. We do not promise a particular uptime, and we may take it down for maintenance.
- It may change. Looks, animations and features can be added, changed or withdrawn. If we remove something you rely on, we will try to give notice.
- The AI text is a draft, not advice. Captions, closing lines and suggested replies are generated. Read them before you post them.
- Keep your own copies. We take backups, and we keep them for 30 days, but a backup is our safety net and not a substitute for yours. Use "Download my data" on your account page whenever you want the lot.
- We do not promise results. Nobody can promise that a post will get you customers.
Our liability
We are responsible for running the service with reasonable care and skill, and nothing here takes away liability that the law does not allow us to exclude — death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or a consumer's statutory rights.
Beyond that: we are not liable for lost profits, lost business, lost goodwill or lost data, or for anything you suffer because of a post you chose to publish. Where we are liable, our total liability for everything arising in any twelve-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period (and if you paid us nothing, to €100).
You are responsible for the content you put in and publish. If someone brings a claim against us because a review you used was not yours to use, you agree to cover the reasonable cost of dealing with it.
Ending it
You, at any time. Cancel Pro on Whop, and delete everything from your account page. Deleting is immediate and has no undo window, so take a copy of your data first if you want one.
Us, with a reason. We may suspend or close an account that breaks section VI, that is being used to harm someone, or where we are required to. Except where the law or the seriousness of the breach makes it impossible, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right.
When an account ends, its businesses, reviews and posts are deleted from the live site and fall out of the backups within 30 days. We keep one anonymous marker of how many free posts a Whop account has used, so that deleting and signing up again does not hand out a fresh set of free posts. That marker holds a number and no name, address or content.
Changes and law
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms — a new feature, a new rule, a plain mistake to fix. The date at the top always says when. If a change materially affects you we will tell you by e-mail or in the app before it takes effect, and carrying on using the service after that means you accept it. If you do not, cancel and delete.
Governing law
These terms, and any dispute about them or about the service, are governed by Danish law, and the Danish courts decide such disputes. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, whatever this clause says, and you may bring a claim in your own courts.
The rest
If a court finds one clause unenforceable, the rest still stands. Not enforcing something once does not mean we have given it up. These terms, plus the privacy policy, are the whole agreement between us about the service.
Questions about any of this? Write to support@praisereel.com, or use the contact form. How we handle personal information is set out separately in the privacy policy.
